• Consider the sheer amount of emails you receive. Storing them online means that you don't have to think about how much space is used up on your computer.
• It is more convenient if you want to access your emails on the move, from an iPhone, a laptop or your home computer.
• You benefit from extra security. You can also configure your email client so that there's a copy of the email left on the email server – but make sure you do not use up your space quota or new emails will not be delivered to you.
• It has never been so cheap to set up an email server for small businesses. Google is offering a 10GB Gmail Premier account for £2 per month complete with Calendar and 24/7 assistance. Another worthy competitor is Bluetie which offers a similar range of services at a comparable price.
• You don't have to maintain any hardware and software. Leave it to your service provider and concentrate on your core business.
